No, I’m just kidding, it technically is still Summer up here and I received this picture of my little brother this morning, outside, experiencing his first snow and probably wishing he had a pair of Uggs or Sorrels to throw on and keep his paws warm.
Meanwhile, where I actually am, I am enjoying the Fall weather that I have been waiting all Summer for. Today it poured rain and I got to take my newest Burberry trench out for a spin and paired it with my red Louis Vuitton top handle. I’ve said it many times before, I love this season. Autumn is my absolute favourite. Yes, I’ve been wearing boots and bundling up. Tomorrow I even plan on wearing a scarf.
It seems to me that boots have been on my mind all Summer. I know it makes no sense, but while everyone is walking around on slide in sandals, I am thinking about boots. I basically updated my boot collection this Summer which I will share with you in a later post, but for now, how about these over the knee suede boots from Zara? I know that over the knee was especially popular two or three years ago but I still don’t mind it when styled properly. I also like that this has a bit more of a square heel so they function as a flat shoe but will give a tiny bit extra height.
Also. This picture was taken about two weeks ago. No, you can’t see too many details but you can get the general idea of how cute my other new Burberry I got this past Summer is. Wearing: Coat- Burberry. Jeans- J.Brand. Shoes- Salvatore Ferragamo.
By no means am I the Duchess of Cambridge, but I have to say that I was quite proud of my efforts today and gave her a run for her money in regards to style and charity. I took my Adele printed (such a pretty print!) wrap dress from BCBG out for a spin this afternoon. Accompanied with my Valentino Rockstud pumps, and Burberry bag in Dusky Mauve (pre Fall exclusive! The colour is SOOO pretty!!!) I was pretty good to go.
While my holiday has been a welcome escape it certainly has not been restful. However, I can’t complain as it is Stampede week (one of my favourite times of the year) and I’m just going to let the slew of business and cowboy boots ensue. You can expect a few things related to this coming your way on Talktomyshoes.
Last night I took a break from the craze of Stampede season and found myself at dinner theatre- Avenue Q is one of the funniest musicals I’ve ever seen. For those of you who are unaware, think of Sesame Street educating in a rather tongue in cheek manner. Anyway, what was I wearing? Blazer: Aritzia. Top and necklace: J.Crew. Leggings: Club Monaco. Shoes: Michael Kors. Purse: Tory Burch (a new baby you’ll get a more up close look soon, promise!)
I’d also like to take this opportunity to introduce you, dear readers, to Rusty: the latest addition to the family, a teething puppy, astonishingly cute and a potential terror. Look up, look way up!
While I was heartbroken to come home to a puppy-less house and still feel rather empty over the loss of my very best friend. However, it hasn’t stopped me from enjoying numerous cute videos on youtube and appreciating the cuteness of what I am about to share.
Christmas shopping is never complete for me unless I have covered everyone, dog included. You see, I love to give. I think that shopping for others is great because I get to watch that person’s reaction- hopefully a good one- as they open up their gift. Giving is one of those things that just feels good, I love seeing others excited for something new and Casey would always be the most excited over a gift- especially at Christmas. So for those of you who can’t decide what the perfect gift for puppy is, perhaps check out these toys by Jax and Bone. Imagine giving the gift of a squirrel that a furry little friend could catch over and over and over…
