OOTD: feat. One Teaspoon

I love weekends. Who doesn’t? Time off work to (attempt to) relax, check things off my to-do list, spend time with friends, and perhaps most importantly, wear all the things I love that I could never get away with at work. Like these ripped jeans for example.

Last weekend I went out for an afternoon of shopping, lunching and of course, Starbucks with a friend. It was abnormally beautiful out for this time of year- 14 degrees is practically Summer weather here. So, embracing the gorgeous day, I opted for a few favourites.

So what was I wearing? My One Teaspoon Freebird II denim in blue blonde. One Teaspoon is quickly turning into a favourite of mine as far as distressed denim goes. These have a bit of a slouchy fit to them and are quite relaxed. I love the “make you look twice” type of distressing, it is not quite as heavily done as some of their other denim. Also there are zippers in the legs, something which I never thought I’d go for. This pair of jeans has an absolutely stunning wash and is so completely unique to my wardrobe I am loving every second I get to slip them on. Though they are a little big, I’d suggest to anyone to stay true to their own size.

I also took my Ferragamo Vara ballerina sneakers out for a stroll. I treated myself to these in a sale just after Christmas. The Vara ballerina sneakers are some of my absolute favourites design wise. I have a few pairs of them in different colours and am already thinking of more to collect. They are COMFORTABLE as heck, and still give off a polished-casual type look. In my opinion, one of Salvatore Ferragamo’s best styles, but just as a heads up, they run a tad small compared to other SF shoes, I have taken all of mine in half a size up.

I also brought out one of my favourite Louis Vuitton’s, embracing the sunny weather.

Not pictured: a sweater and silk tank both by Wilfred. Chanel aviator sunnies and my blue and silver Marc by Marc Jacobs watch.

Six Runway Shoes At PFW That Made Me Look Twice

The marathon of fashion month is finally over and while following the whole ordeal quite closely, I chose not to cover the shows this year as they simply are accessible enough to everyone online and through social media that I didn’t feel the need to add myself to the list of people covering the catwalk. I’m at the point where, while it is nice to cover a few highlights or one particular show, if we need to really see whats going on, we’d go straight to the source.

However, while fashion month is about what it is named after- fashion, I feel that footwear can often be forgotten. Thus, I have found a beautiful excuse to share these gems that really caught my eye during Paris Fashion Week. So, without further adieu, lets just get to it:

Paris Fashion Week Shoes 2015

These embellished woven thick-heeled pumps at Celine. I love the how juxtaposed the crystal embellishment is against the woven body of the shoe. I could see these being worn so many different ways. Let’s keep an eye out for them!PFW-2015-Dior_1

Clear heeled, head turning boots at Dior. Ten bucks says Anna Dello Russo rocks these as street style sometime soon. I’d love to style these one day.
PFW-2015-Lanvin

The most perfect mid-calf python boots by Lanvin that I’d be wearing in an absolute heart beat. Mid-calf is one of my favourite boot heights because they make such a versatile look. Also, notice how they tie? Isn’t that great?
PFW-2015-Louis-Vuitton-_1

Pumps that play with tough-girl texture at Louis Vuitton. I really like these because they are so wearable. PFW-2015-Miu-Miu_1

The return of the glitter heel (with a twist!) at Miu Miu. Suddenly having the urge to wear sky blue with silver glitter. Also, look at the glory that is the contrast between the pointed toe and the shape of the heel. Bamn!PFW-2015-Stella-McCartneyAnd finally, unnecessarily beautiful, Baroque inspired boots at Stella McCartney. The embroidery and material is beautiful. I see these being paired so easily with a wispy maxi skirt or even a pair of boyfriend jeans.

What is your favourite pair of footwear from fashion month?

OOTD: Christmas Sweater Edition

Hello! I’ve been absent for a couple days due to the general craziness that is brought on by the holidays of the season. Oh, yeah, and because I’ve relocated myself down to sunny Arizona for much of my holiday! It has been great, sitting in the sun, visiting my favourite places, and preparing for Christmas. I have a few outfit posts coming but be patient- they do call it a holiday for a reason.
Anyway, back home a few days ago we had Christmas Sweater day at work. I wore this gem that was given to me last year. How about it?

So what was I wearing? Sweater: From Grandma, goodness knows where or when. Jeans: Citizens of Humanity. Bag: Louis Vuitton. Boots: Ugg Australia.

I hope everyone is having a great holiday and feeling ready for Christmas!! What are your Christmas plans??

Holiday Gift Guide: Day 14

With ten days left until Christmas day, we are in the midst of endless holiday parties, dinners, and gatherings of all kinds. Often because of the hectic schedules that this time of year naturally creates, we often don’t have time to swap outfits and accessories. So here I present you with something that is versatile form day to night, office to drinks, whatever it is that you need.

Louis Vuitton Chain

I picked out this particular crossbody by Louis Vuitton for a number of reasons that help make the transition from day to night much easier. First, lets talk size, big enough for your phone, lipstick cards and keys, yet small enough to not look bulky. The long chain brings an opportunity for a hands-free option while it could easily be tucked in to create a clutch if needed. Finally, texture; between the mix of croc leather and gold hardware I’d saw we have all of our bases covered. So what do you think? What is you favourite solution for day to night dressing?
