Every couple of seasons Isabel Marant releases a design that seems to make everyone in the fashion world go nuts over. Wedge sneakers, ankle boots of all types, and of course, the Soono boot that had everyone wrapped up in chains. It has been a couple of weeks now since Soono’s rerelease and the relaunch seems to be doing quite well. Spotted on models, fashion bloggers and anyone in between, the boot proves to be more versatile than believed.
I remember when the design was first released, sitting on the couch in my living room and having a little meltdown as a result of how outstanding I thought the design was. Something about the taupe pair with a hint of silver chain is perfect for my western roots. In the oddest sense, I see the pair on the left as a nice variation to a cowboy boot.
Anyway, what do you think? I know that this style, though newly rereleased, isn’t necessarily the type of design we see trending right now. Would you go back to this design? Or do you prefer to stay a bit more updated with your trends?
Spring is almost here so that means we are getting into some great transitional dressing! While it is too sloppy where I live to throw on a pair of flats right away, I am trading my Winter boots for a more fashion forward, weather appropriate boot. Ankle boots are great at this time of year- they look great with everything from a pair of tucked in jeans to a feminine skirt. If it is dry enough where you are, try opting for a pair in a soft suede that is a lot lighter than a thicker leather or shearling material. I’ve picked these Dicker suede ankle boots by Isabel Marant to share with you as they exemplify a perfect light weight and that sort of western chic silhouette that I am always so drawn to.
Now I want to hear it from you! What is your favourite accessory for transitional dressing? Do you have a go-to pair of footwear that never seems to fail? Let me know in the comments section below!
Aren’t these Amelia Suede leather sandals the epitomy of what was trending this past Summer? Thick heels, unique cutouts and a bow or strap here and there. I suppose Isabel Marant is always on trend as the company clearly sets them across the blogosphere and fashion world alike.
Despite owning a pair of shoes… or even maybe a few… or… well I’m not sure how many pairs I have to be honest, I can tell you that I can count on one hand how many of those pairs have laces.
Anyway, I keep looking at the sneaker wedge trend, admiring it from a distance- on everyone but myself. I found this pair of Bobby sneaks by Isabel Marant, the cause of this whole chaotic trend, and part of me starts to think “I can do this”. Only in cream though.
