There is always something about a quirky novelty shoe that brightens up my day. These bunny flats by Kate Spade have been on high rotation since nabbing them this past Fall. I admit, at first although I loved them I was unsure exactly how much I’d wear them; but sure enough, I treat them as a neutral flat with a cotton tail and they make their appearance every so often.
These are comfy to boot with soft brushed suede and a fuzzy pom pom tail. Perhaps even cuter than the tail- the spade nose, the tiniest gold accent. The only unfortunate thing about these is that they are so light I can only wear them when it is completely dry outside, or indoors only. I know it is only January, but I can’t wait for spring to some so these can accompany me as I hop all around town.
Anyway, are you a novelty shoe fanatic or would you rather keep it classic and cool? Let me know in the comments below. Happy weekend!
With the way I have been going lately, these Kate Spade Taxi Flats are more than appropriate. Be it running between classrooms, gym, groceries or just out for general errands, these flats have been working there wheels in many ways.
It felt impossible to find these and I feel pretty excited and lucky to finally have a pair. I know that this style was released quite a while ago, and most recently in gold for the holidays, but when the original patent yellow was made available again, I pounced quickly (and barely landed on a pair). It isn’t like me to buy a shoe in patent leather, and though I enjoy the look of it, I never seem to do well with the stiffness of the shoe. However, these have proved to be quite comfortable. After reading some reviews online I was a little hesitant about sizing- everyone saying they pinch and to go up half a size, but I followed my gut and went with my true size (7) and they have been more than fine.
I’m looking forward to wearing these again and again. Kate Spade does such great novelty work and the compliments I’ve received on this pair have been endless. Go pick them up, I think you need a pair too!
There is absolutely no denying that ever since that ridiculous “What does the fox say?” video came out, foxes themselves have been trending non-stop. It is totally ridiculous in a sense, yet totally amazing what pop culture can do- think about it. This really is just a little animal that funnily enough, steals any shoes left on the porch at my family’s cabin. I think it was more this background story from my childhood- rather than the need to know what kind of sound the animal makes, that made me feel even more inclined to get my hands (or feet) on these cute flats. Now hopefully nobody (or sly and furry creature) steals these shoes.
Kate Spade, I have to say, you did it again. Comfortable shoes with a perfect shape. Appropriate colour scheme for the season and adorned with the most ridiculous (and oddly chic and adorable) fox face. I love this style. I love these flats. Animal flats for adults again, for the win.
I can’t believe it has taken this long to share one of my favorite pairs with you but I suppose it is better to do so now than never. I picked up my Charlotte Olympia kitty slippers in black velvet when I was in New York last Summer. I couldn’t believe my luck walking into Saks to find that they actually had the forever sold-out shoe in my size, never mind the particular design I had been hunting for. Believe me, the hunt honestly took months- years, but I have to say it is worth it. Charlotte Olympia kitten slippers have turned into a cult classic for a reason, they totally live up to all the hype. Look for these slippers in different colors and materials, Charlotte has a great, creative imagination and has provided us with an immense amount of options.
