I cannot resist a good ol’ eye catching Louboutin. I’m keeping this short today, as really, the stilettos speak for themselves. I think what I really like about this pair is that they seem a little more mature than many Loubs I see available. Does that sound crazy? Do you know what I mean? I think I am just talking about the oversized studded platform designs by CL that I can’t stand. Anyway. I like a more classy elegance in a shoe is what I am trying to say.
The Louboutin Follies in lace are beautiful. I am obsessed with the colour scheme on these heels! They remind me of those beautiful warm toned neutral eyeshadow palettes that have a pop of blue or a pop of burnt red shadow in them. But only they are lace stilettos. And you wear them on your feet instead of your eyelids. Oh god. Trying to write when you are stretched out on the couch, contemplating a nap is not a great thing. Sorry.
Sorry not sorry, because can we just take pause and notice the embossed leather heel cap as well? What perfect contrast and an unexpected design feature. It compliments the piping so well I can’t even handle it.
I have no other words, just one last thought: that these are some of the most beautiful Christian Louboutin follies I have ever seen.
Thank you to all my readers for stopping by, don’t forget to say hello in the comment section below! I hope you all had a great long weekend and are enjoying the first signs of Spring. It isn’t snowing or -36 here today so that is a start.
Today is the first day of September and you can tell. I woke up to it being nearly freezing outside and wanted nothing more than to just bundle up. Of course I knew that by noon the day would feel warmer so I did my best to avoid a sweater. Anyway, though we technically have 20 days or so until it is officially Autumn, this time of year is automatically Fall for me.
So, as a nod to the beautiful Summer and sunshine we enjoyed over the last couple months, a pair of Castaner jean espadrilles in bright colours as we part ways with this season and embrace the next.
What was your favourite part of the Summer? Are you looking forward to Autumn? If you haven’t figured it by now, it’s when the weather cools down that is my favourite.
Everywhere I look I see burnt orange and everyone I hear from is going on and on as if it is this new revolutionary colour that we have never before seen. But really people, take a look, it is just another beautiful Autumn colour that we have seen many, many times before, we just changed the name of it this season. Regardless, I too love it- actually I loved it even back before it was a thing to love- and believe it fits perfectly into the end of Summer/start of Fall/well into Fall season. My ode to this season’s most popular colour has actually been through a pair of silk culottes. A little bit of a bolder choice but something inside me just said yes when I found them.
I picked this Chloe sandal wedge for a number of reasons this morning: it sports the colours everyone is suddenly crazy about, it is suede-very on point and current though it too has been around since the dawn of time, the metal edging at the back of the shoe, and the fact that it is Chloe and Chloe does no wrong.
So what is your take on “burnt orange”? Anyone else excited for Fall? I spent a good deal of time yesterday working on my new Autumn wardrobe and new closet in the new house. Spring is supposed to be a time for new beginnings but the last few weeks has been feeling more right for me. There has been a ton of change for me in the last month or so and I’m glad to embrace it with open arms.
Happy Wednesday to all my readers, I hope you’re all having a terrific day! Don’t forget to say “hello!” in the comment section!
I don’t know what it is, but whenever I add a new pair of Manolo Blahnik shoes to my collection, they are always pink or purple, or have a ton of pink or purple in them. It’s not like I plan on solely purchasing shoes in these colours by the designer, I have never even thought of that; it is that I think I just love super girly pumps and am naturally pulled to those colours. They are just so pretty, don’t you think?
