I’ve been looking for a new pair of over the knee boots for a while now. I bought a black leather pair from Arnold Churgin a few years ago and have to say that I have worn them almost to their death. They are honestly one of my favourite pairs of boots I’ve ever had- I’ve worn them with everything I own and in all sorts of weather. As a result of adoring a Fall boot far too much and even wearing them (and freezing my toes) in the winter and other months, I have worn them to the point they no longer have that sleek sophisticated look.
Anyway, I’ve been hunting for a new pair and have found exactly what I am looking for. While the pair by Dolce and Gabbana pictured above are far from what I have chosen, I just want to take a moment to celebrate these boots. How insane, and fashion forward (or fashion in your face?) are these! Velvet, leather, silk, studs I’m shocked that these boots are not even more theatrical. A perfect nod to the Italian Renaissance, D&G has nailed it once again. Also, a huge congratulations to them for having the honour of decorating the Christmas tree at Claridges for the second year in a row!
