A few quick favourites from Dior Spring Couture
I really enjoyed the simplicity in the lines and overall shapes of what was shown. Even more so, I am a fan of the texture. Layers upon layers of the most delicate materials, intricate beading, overall a very whimsical and feminine collection. Although this certainly was no Galliano, Bill Gaytten did quite well amid the pressure of filling such huge shoes. You have to kinda feel for the guy, following an act like John Galliano certainly wouldn’t be easy. Safe, pretty, not a too shabby start as creative director. It’ll be interesting to see what direction he takes Dior in once he becomes more comfortable.
